Buying Prints from the Middlegate Antique Prints Website
HOW TO BUY
To buy a print, either from browsing or from searching for it, click on the 'Buy Print' icon that is displayed in the print information.
After doing this the page will load up your basket details, which shows the most recent basket operation (adding or removing a print) and the updated basket after the most recent operation. In rare cases, you will be presented with a screen which states that the print is not available. Although prints are automatically removed from the database when they are bought, should another customer buy a print after you have loaded the relevant page, the page will not be refreshed, and the print will still appear to be available even though it has been bought. Usually a refresh will resolve what is and is not available. To that end, if you exit the site without removing a print from your basket, it will take 20 minutes for your basket to 'time out' and the print to become available again.
To buy another print click the 'back' button just below the updated basket.
When you have finished selecting the antique prints that you wish to buy, click on 'Checkout', either from the navigation bar at the top of the page, or the button just beneath the updated basket.
You will then be asked to confirm your order, and select from a range of delivery options. Delivery charges are as follows:

After this, you will be asked to fill in your shipping address.
Finally you will be redirected to the SECURE PAYPAL SERVER, where you will be asked to enter credit card details etc. Please note any slight changes in currency conversion, as we cannot be held responsible for small changes in the exchange rate. All communication between your internet browser and the PayPal Secure Server is encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption if your internet browser has the facility to use these connections, and in Internet Explorer there should be a padlock symbol in the status bar as a visual reminder of this, also the internet address will start with 'https://' instead of 'http://'.
When you have finished entering the relevant information and submitted it for processing, your order may either be confirmed or you may be asked to re-enter the information, depending on whether the details you have entered have passed PayPal's strict anti-fraud verification system. You may cancel the order at any time before WorldPay has processed your credit card information.
Whether your transaction was successful or you cancelled it, you will be presented with an appropriate screen, and you can then return to the Middlegate Antique Prints site by clicking on the link on this results page.
